So Many Stickers!
Let’s give away free stickers to all our customers!! But wait…. how?
Stickers can be a great investment for organizations. With their relatively low cost, they make great gifts for customers and every little sticker counts in the wild when it comes to branding.
Things start getting interesting when you research the price of stickers. You quickly find that the more you buy, the less expensive they become. By the time you’ve read the entire pricing chart, it’s really hard to go back to the original quantity you had in mind. And then what happens? That’s right, you end up buying hundreds or thousands more stickers than you had originally planned.
Then the stickers arrive. They’re usually on a nice compact roll and don’t take up too much space. You give a chunk to your shipping department to ship with orders, and then are exicted to remember you have 10,000 more. You think, wow, we can do so many cool things with all these stickers!
But once you start thinking about it, it’s really hard to give out the rest of the stickers. Sure, you might take some to conferences where 50 get picked up, but you still have thousands left that need a home.
Then an idea pops up. You can give them away for free to your mailing list! At $.018 per sticker, it’s totally worth it! But wait, how do you figure out who wants them? How do you collect their mailing address? Where do you get all the envelopes? Who cuts each sticker off the roll and puts it in the envelope? How do you address all of them? How does bulk rate postage work? How do you ask for something in return like a social media share? And once you have your customers’ info, how do you keep them on a list to receive more goodies in the future?
These are all very valid questions. And you could definitely figure it all out. But the truth is, with your priorities staring you down, do you have the time? What has to be deprioritized so you can send some free stickers out? Most often, none of this work happens because you just don’t have the time. And so your volume discount roll of stickers sits on a shelf, gathering dust.
We faced this same dilemma at a digital consumer product company with hundreds of thousands of customers. We were happy to make stickers. Our customers loved receiving them. But giving them away proved to be hard. Until we took the time to build a system for it. A system that made, stored, packed, shipped, and reported for us so we never had to think about it. And now, with Free Sticker Panda, we’re bringing that system to you.
